VMware Cloud on AWS Helps Sterling National Bank Modernize Its Infrastructure

Sterling National Bank, a $30 billion financial institution, wanted to continue it's journey to modernize on behalf of its customers, but was running out of capacity in its datacenters and could no longer modernize on-premises without significant cost. The bank needed to find an option that would allow it to quickly and easily move its highly customized banking applications to the cloud so it could continue to innovate and create more personalized digital services for its customers.
Sterling, along with AWS Partner Deloitte, chose VMware Cloud on AWS as the fastest path the cloud. As a result, select application performance at Sterling is enhanced because of 40% lower latency and Sterling was also able to reduce service related incidents by 50%.
Sterling's move to the cloud via VMware Cloud on AWS has also enabled them to build more advanced solutions. One of the prime examples is conversational AI that they are running on native AWS.
