Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition version 1 (with MySQL 5.6 compatibility) is planned to reach end of life on February 28, 2023, and it’s recommended to upgrade to newer supported major versions before it reaches the end of its lifecycle. In this video we discuss important milestones, upgrade paths with demos for each of the methods and go over best practices while performing a major engine version upgrade.
