Port of Kokkola uses Nokia technology deployed by Edzcom to improve efficiency and sustainability in the three ports. Information from a large variety of sources is compiled and analyzed for the benefit of many parties operating in the port. Real-time loading of information enables vessels to arrive on time when there is a free slot at the quay, saving fuel. Sensor information trigger fuel refilling and emptying waste water tanks.
