RAN implementations have improved spectral efficiency and wireless performance through optimized algorithms. This demo shows AI enhancements can further improve performance using link adaptation. Concerns about AI costs and GPU dependency are addressed by demonstrating how Intel® Xeon® Processors efficiently execute AI workloads while meeting RAN latency requirements. Intel® Xeon® 6 for Network and Edge with built-in AI acceleration enables this performance improvement using general purpose compute resources, without requiring additional hardware.
